Hommos Dip


Hommus dip

1½ cups raw chick peas
½ cup firm, non oily Tahina
2 tbsp lemon juice
a little crushed garlic (optional)
a little water
1 pkt of Mountain Bread

1  Soak the chick peas overnight, then cook for 1½ - 2 hours or until very tender.

2  Combine the remainder of the ingredients in a food processor or blender and thin to desired consistency with water.  This makes your Tahina sauce.

3  Mash the cooked chick peas and add the Tahina sauce.

4  Cut Mountain Bread™ into triangles and fry until golden or bake in  a moderate to hot oven (200c) until crispy. Serve with the Hommus.
